The intermediate programme in Fashion Design builds upon the skills that have been learned in Basic Fashion Design. Students build better expertise by working through hands-on projects that require more detailing, thereby developing dexterity in the areas of pattern drafting, cutting and sewing. Emphasis is placed on the ability to properly represent creative ideas. New and more difficult designs in garment production are acquired. Students develop more professional techniques by producing more advanced fashion garments.
Admission Requirements: Minimum of a High or Secondary School Education education is recommended. However, mature candidates with working experience may also be considered. Course Duration: 3 months (weekdays) or 4 months (weekends) Certification: A certificate in Intermediate Fashion Design will be awarded after the programme to students who fulfil all the requirements of the programme including the project.
